AR technology for Tokyo

Superior Wellness has launched their latest venture into producing 3D AR hot tub experience for a Platinum Spas model that is available to view on the brand’s website.

Head of Marketing Sarah Elphick reported that the introduction of the 3D AR (augmented reality) ensures prospective customers can now have a 360 view of the Premium range Tokyo hot tub from the comfort of their home before making the decisions to visit a showroom of one of the Platinum Spas retailers.

Sarah has highlighted that another benefit of this new technology is that it enables consumers to scan, place and view the Tokyo hot tub, pictured, at 100 per cent of its actual size. All they need to do is scan the QR code on their smartphone camera to be free to roam and inspect the prospective hot tub purchase.

Due to the fact that this will allow customers and partners to see whether or not the hot tub will fit into their showroom, garden room, garden space, or other location, Sarah believes this will increase conversions rates and help with the decision making of purchasing the hot tub.

“It will be a great benefit to our partner network as it will enable them to demonstrate this product to a customer even if they do not currently have that particular model in stock,” said Sarah.

“One of the benefits of AR is that it increases engagement and interaction whilst also providing a richer user experience. We are continuing to innovate and focus on what our consumers want. This is just one of many steps we are taking to take our marketing to the next level.”

The AR innovation follows the Platinum Spas brand launching the Oslo and Colombo models for the Premium range, which is being promoted in the USA at the Aqua Live educational and trade show being hosted at the Charlotte Convention Centre, running from October 5 to 7.

Ahead the event, the Platinum Spas swim spa range has gained another publicity boost after British 50m Breaststroke record holder Imogen Clark visited the Chesterfield-based showroom facility to check out the Helios swim spa model that provides dedicated swimming and hot tub hydrotherapy capability.
