Buy It Direct Group acquires Outdoor Living as part of its continued expansion

As the popularity for premium hot tubs and swim spas across the UK continues to spread, Buy it Direct Group, one of the largest online consumer goods retailers within the UK, has successfully acquired hot tub and swim spa specialist Outdoor Living, as part of its ongoing expansion strategy.

Outdoor Living is one of the UK’s most trusted retailers of both hot tubs and swim spas, as well as both saunas and gazebos, selling both Jacuzzi® as well as own-brand products based across two fantastic showrooms in Yorkshire. The business prides itself on its customer experience, with the Buy It Direct Group takeover will provide Outdoor Living with the ability to scale rapidly thanks to access to Buy it Direct’s nationwide infrastructure and expertise in eCommerce, supply chain and logistics.

Outdoor Living’s wealth of experience within the wet leisure sector makes the business a fantastic platform for future growth, with founder Paul Margerison set to lead and guide Outdoor Living forward alongside his team of 42 staff as it bands together with Buy It Direct Group.

Founded in Huddersfield in 1999 by CEO Nick Glynne, Buy It Direct Group is one of the UK’s largest online retailers, with a portfolio of well-known brands including Laptops Direct, Better Bathrooms, Appliances Direct, Servers Direct, Furniture123 and Drones Direct.

Buy It Direct Group employs 970 staff, operates over one million sq. ft. of warehousing and has demonstrated significant growth in recent years. The acquisition of the business strengthens Buy it Direct’s already existing lifestyle offering, and will provide Outdoor Living with the ability to scale upwards with the help of access to Buy it Direct’s large nationwide infrastructure, eCommerce expertise, supply chain and logistics.
