Entry deadline for 2020 Awards

BISHTA members who want to be in with a chance to gain a prestigious trade accolade during the 2020 British Pool & Hot Tub Awards have until October 25 to submit their entries.

Hot tub and swim spa dealers who have BISHTA membership credentials and wish to be in contention for Gold, Silver, Bronze and Merit Awards from the nine dedicated categories, including the highly-prized and prestigious ‘Showroom of the Year’ category, must submit their entries before the strict deadline of 5pm on Friday, October 25, 2019.

The categories are: Residential Hot Tubs Below £7,000 (inc VAT); Residential Hot Tubs £7,000 to £14,000 (inc VAT); Residential Hot Tubs £14,000 and Over (inc VAT); Swim / Exercise Spas; Hot Tubs Change Lives; Hot Tubs in a Holiday Setting; Hot Tub Happiness; Showroom of the Year; and Best Use of Digital Media.

Entries from BISHTA members can only be submitted via the online entry form on the BISHTA website. Any entries received after the deadline will not be included within the judging process.

In recent years leading WhatSpa? Approved hot tub retailers; including Jacuzzi specialist Outdoor Living, and Coast Spas specialist dealership network Award Leisure; have received top Gold accolades that have helped BISHTA to highlight the outstanding achievements of their members in the wet leisure industry. Part of this promotion has included showcasing the best examples of top quality design, construction, installation and innovation by award-winning members on the BISHTA stand during the SPATEX exhibition at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

Outdoor Living has been helping Jacuzzi to promote its products at major outdoor events this summer after extending its Hull-based showroom and gaining a BISHTA Gold Award during this year’s ceremony for its Leeds showroom, pictured, in the ‘Showroom of the Year’ category, to add to a Bronze accolade for the Hull showroom that has been recently enhanced with special LED lighting.

The Leeds showroom, which also supplies Sundance Spas hot tubs, hosted members of the Leeds Rhinos team as part of a special two-day event in September that included the opportunity for visitors to win an Intex inflatable hot tub by guessing how many balloons were in a five-seater Jacuzzi J-215 hot tub that is part of the J-200 range, which has gained a WhatSpa? Best Buy Award for the Jacuzzi J-225 in the 2019 edition of the consumer magazine.

Award Leisure, which exclusively supplies the Regency Spas range throughout its booming network of showrooms, was bestowed with a Gold Award for an installation that achieved the top accolade in the ‘Residential Hot Tubs below £7,000’ category. A second Gold Award was also presented to the Coast Spas specialist retailer in the ‘Hot Tubs in a Holiday Setting’ category.

As part of sales and marketing initiatives for its showrooms in Warwickshire, Lincolnshire, Cheshire, Birmingham, Tamworth and London, Award Leisure has also provided customers with a chance to win the money back on their hot tub purchase as part of a competition involving the England teams taking part in the Women’s Football World Cup, Cricket World Cup, and Rugby World Cup. After England won the Cricket World Cup a lucky couple had the £5,890 price refunded on their summer purchase of their Award Suite hot tub.

Judging for the British Pool & Hot Tub Awards comes directly from top industry specialists who work on a regular basis with BISHTA and SPATA. Entries are also anonymously judged, based on the quality of the entry and fairly awarded on a points system. That is why both organisations promote the fact that winning a British Pool & Hot Tub Award is a mark of excellence from the wet leisure industry.

Winners from the respected BISHTA and SPATA categories will be announced during the 2020 Gala Evening and British Pool & Hot Tub Awards presentation ceremony, which is being staged on January 28 and will once again be hosted at the Ricoh Arena during SPATEX.

Tickets for the event are priced at £71.95 (+VAT pp), which includes the pre-dinner drinks reception, three-course sit-down meal, the British Pool & Hot Tubs Awards ceremony, as well as entertainment and disco.

Early booking before the ticket deadline in January is advisable to avoid disappointment, especially if you are intending to order a large quantity of seats or entire tables. Tickets can be booked by emailing Admin@bspf.org.uk or by calling 01264 353403.
