Gold follows inaugural hot title prize

Jacuzzi and Sundance Spas product specialist Outdoor Living have named the Craig Villa Guest House entry as their Hot Tub of the Year winner before lifting a successive BISHTA ‘Showroom of the Year’ title.
The Craig Villa entry was declared the 2020 winner after the inaugural voting for the competition and as such gained a year’s supply of hot tub chemicals from Outdoor Living, which has BISHTA Award-winning showrooms in Leeds and Hull, including the prestigious 2021 BISHTA Gold Award for ‘Showroom of the Year’ that was announced during the virtual presentation of the 2021 BISHTA Awards as part of the 2021 British Pool & Hot Tub Awards online ceremony during SPATEX Virtual.
Craig Villa is a B&B accommodation business in the Scottish Highlands, run by Ewan and Taryn Diven amidst the breath-taking mountain scenery of the Strath of Orchy in Dalmally, Argyll, near Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, has a wooden hot tub installation costing £4,200 that came out top to gain the Hot Tub of the Year title from 250 entries, after receiving 699 votes out of the 2,000 votes cast.
Previously hosting guests via Airbnb, Scottish firefighter Ewan and Taryn, who is a sports remedial massage therapist from Canada, decided to move to the Highlands and purchased Craig Villa Guest House in March 2019. Once their debut season was completed at the five-room accommodation the couple purchased a hot tub that had a rustic wooden exterior design to match the stunning surroundings, which impressed almost 700 voters to result in the business, which also incorporates a massage clinic, being crowned as the Outdoor Living hot tub competition winner.
“We are overwhelmed by the response we received from the competition and we cannot thank everyone enough who voted and took part,” said Ewan; “It has given us some great ideas on how we can improve the setup for our future guests.”
Outdoor Living Project Manager Georgina Newby reported that the hot tub and swim spa specialist, which is currently promoting ‘buy now, pay 2022’ deals on various models, including the Outdoor hot tub range, is hoping their ‘Hot Tub of the Year’ competition will encourage other owners to become creative with their hot tub spaces.
“Our competition was launched to encourage the UK to have some fun in the safety of their own home and then share it with us all online,” explained Georgina.
“We’re amazed by all the creative set ups and we hope these entries have inspired others to change up their hot tub areas, creating a space to relax and unwind. We really have seen the best of the best.
“We’ve been so pleased with the interaction from the general public. It’s great to see people pulling together and having fun in difficult times. It’s been incredibly hard for people not to spend time with their loved ones outside of their home or bubble.”
Based in Low Road, the Leeds showroom has once again been bestowed with the prestigious BISHTA ‘Showroom of the Year’ title that was revealed during the online presentation of the 2021 BISHTA Awards during the 2021 British Pool & Hot Tub Awards ceremony.
Judges have once again been impressed with the showroom that boasts to provide over 200 products, including chemicals and filters, as part of its extensive range of accessories, while providing visitors with a wide range of hot tub display models and the capability to utilise dedicated wet test facilities with a private changing area as part of a ‘try before you buy’ service.
As well as promoting the Sundance Spas brand, which makes donations from sales to the Teenage Cancer Trust, the showroom is currently running a sales and marketing initiative with ‘buy now, pay 2022’ deals for designs including the Jacuzzi J-210 and the Outdoor Haze model.
The dealership also specialises in the WhatSpa? Holiday Park Best Buy Award-winning Jacuzzi Lodge range that provides HSG282 compliance designs with ‘Quick Drain’ functionality convenience for prospective owners in the hot tub holiday sector, and has been bestowed with 2021 Best Buy Awards for the three-seater Jacuzzi Lodge S, pictured, five-seater Jacuzzi Lodge M, along with the seven-seater Jacuzzi J-280.
