Hot tub leaders booked in

Leading hot tub specialists and BISHTA have booked into the Holiday Park & Resort Innovation show at the Birmingham NEC to help promote the financial benefits of commercial hot tubs to the UK tourism trade.

The two-day event; which is taking place this week at the West Midlands venue on Wednesday, November 8, and Thursday, November 9, has attracted top brands and suppliers from the British wet leisure market to swell the bumper ranks of exhibitors; as well as the schedule of guest speakers that includes BISHTA Managing Director Chris Hayes.

Yorkshire-based Jacuzzi Spa and Bath Ltd is among a large list of over 300 suppliers at the show and will be aiming to increase its strong presence in the holiday park market for the iconic WhatSpa? Best Buy Award-winning USA manufacturer. Jacuzzi designs dedicated for commercial use are becoming increasingly popular with holiday park companies and currently complement Hoseasons holiday accommodation throughout the UK, after being successfully incorporated at Cheddar Woods Holiday Park in Somerset; as well as Piran Meadows and Woodside Beach Holiday Parks on the Isle of Wight and in Cornwall respectively.

Members of the thriving Aqua Warehouse Group, distributors of the WhatSpa? Best Buy Award-winning L.A Spas and Vita Spa brands as well as suppliers of the Covana automated covers and End2End covers by the Aqua Spa Supplies division under the stewardship of Richard Hart; will also be attending the show.

Booming demand from the wet leisure trade and appearances as an exhibitor at major British exhibitions, including the UK Pool & Spa Expo and the Hot Tub Living Expo at the NEC, and SPATEX at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, has helped to project the Aqua Spa Supplies division to major prominence in the wet leisure market. Prospective customers in the holiday park sector can now gain benefits from a bumper range of products from the company that now is able to accommodate even larger levels of stock thanks to a new mezzanine floor being fitted to its Chelmsford-based warehouse facility.

Promoting its ‘Made in Britain’ credentials multiple WhatSpa? Best Buy Award-winning manufacturer RotoSpa UK Ltd, which has gained a 2017 Best Buy for the extremely durable six-seater QuatroSpa, has also booked into the event; along with Urban Cedar Hot Tubs, which has gained Best Buy accolades and success in the market with a unique hybrid concept combining the modern spa features with traditional cedar barrel designs.

BISHTA, Bosta UK Ltd, and Cumbria Spas are other exhibitors representing the wet leisure industry during the show; which is running from 10am to 5pm on both days and is being organised by Bristol-based Prysm Media to help exhibitors showcase their products and services to prospective customers in the thriving holiday park market.

Urban Cedar Hot Tubs chief Antony Perry has been instrumental in the brand gaining ground in the holiday park sector while receiving WhatSpa? Best Buy Award recognition, including an accolade for the six-seater Urban Cedar Sport (Base) model in this year’s edition of the consumer magazine. As well as product promotion on the Urban Cedar stand Antony will also be a guest speaker on the theme of ‘How to grow your business with hot tubs’.

Commencing at 12:30pm and followed by a Q&A Session in Theatre 11 on Thursday, Antony will outline the features a potential buyer should be looking for when purchasing a hot tub for holiday home use.

To enhance the promotion of responsible use of hot tubs and the financial rewards for implementing them in the holiday park market, BISHTA’s Chris Hayes has also been booked in as one of the guest speakers at the event on the theme of ‘Hot tubs are great for business, but know your responsibilities’.

Also kicking off at 12:30pm, in Theatre 9, on Thursday, Chris will focus on why hot tubs are such an important part of the experience that clients expect to receive when hiring accommodation in the UK and Ireland; and will also cover some of the major factors to be aware of including the HSG282 guidance from the Health and Safety Executive.

Event Director Will Mansfield launched the Holiday Park & Resort Innovation show in 2015, running alongside the successful Farm Business Innovation show, as a B2B marketplace for owners of a wide range of leisure and tourism businesses to purchase new products and services that can help to boost their business growth.

“The event has quickly become recognised as being highly important to the industry,” reported Will; “With major industry names and thought leaders being involved from the start.

“I love working on and developing the show due to the fact that this is a booming industry, and also due to the variety of different exhibitors we have.”
