Certikin has been celebrating Jimmy Bowers achieving a momentous milestone of 40 years of service with the company and the acquisition of one of the UK’s most recognisable water gardening brands.
Ahead of Certikin attending the record-breaking SPATEX 2024 with an extensive presence on three exhibitor stands, Jimmy, pictured right, was presented with a personalised gift and certificate from Certikin Managing Director Neil Stephenson as a way of showing the company’s gratitude for his four decades of loyal service.
“Jimmy is a hugely popular and valued member of the team and has fulfilled a number of roles across the years, which have made him a stalwart of Certikin’s logistics operation,” said a Certikin spokesperson.
Before travelling to SPATEX with a showcase of established and new products complemented with professional services on Stand D14. Stand D16 and Stand D30 from February 6 to 8 at the Coventry Building Society Arena, Certikin has concluded the acquisition of the water gardening and pond equipment brand Bermuda, from Evolution Aqua Ltd. The acquisition follows five years of a partnership between Certikin and Evolution Aqua that resulted in the Bermuda brand flourishing after returning to the UK market.
Through this partnership Evolution Aqua managed the sales and marketing functions of the business whilst Certikin managed the logistical and accounting elements. All of these functions have now come under the control of Certikin.
Bermuda products will join the existing ranges from Certikin, including Heissner and AquaForte, which are already distributed in the water gardening and aquatics market. By combining these specialist ranges Certikin will be able to provide a complete portfolio of products for this unique market sector.
For current Bermuda customers it will be business as usual as they have already been dealing with Certikin for the accounts side and their existing contact will continue to be Bob Meacham or Adam James.
“The acquisition of the Bermuda brand is great timing for Certikin and we aim to take it to its next stage of development in the market, whilst retaining the key personnel and brand identity that are important to Bermuda” divulged Certikin Commercial Director Steve Nelson.
