Special 50th anniversary expo celebrations

Trade visitors to the Everything Under the Sun Expo in Florida will be able to take part in special 50th anniversary celebrations ahead of the two-day pool, spa and outdoor living exhibition.

Proclaimed as a ‘cornerstone event’ for the pool and spa industry, the exhibition has seen various names and branding over the years, such as the Florida Pool & Spa Show and the Orlando Pool & Spa Show, but has always held the same great energy and audience participation. The Florida Swimming Pool Association has never missed a year organising this event since its inception in 1972, as a small tabletop event, as part of the mission of advancing the Florida swimming pool industry.

The 50th anniversary milestone exhibition, which is a trade only event and not open to the general public, is taking place in West Hall E of the Orange County Convention Centre (OCCC) in Orlando on Friday and Saturday, March 4 and 5, after an official awards event tomorrow.

Trade visitors have the opportunity to dive into social activities on Thursday, March 3, with the Awards and Welcome Reception that is scheduled for a 6:30pm start in the Sunburst Room of the OCCC. All attendees and exhibitors are invited to attend as the 50 years are celebrated in gold and black.

On Friday, March 4, there is an opportunity for further trade networking during an evening of food, drinks, as part of an open bar, and entertainment at the Friday Night Party. scheduled from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at Howl at the Moon, which is within walking distance of the show hotels. This is a private industry party, and entry will be with pre-booked tickets.

Education courses will total 157 hours of learning as part of 65 dedicated sessions. Learning Labs are also going to be providing hands-on, product-specific training within the exhibit hall during opening hours.

“I’m so excited about this year’s show,” said recently appointed Florida Swimming Pool Association Executive Director Elizabeth McMurray; “It’s growth and evolution is reflective of the changes in our industry and our association.”
